1. Who we are

We’re writers and readers just like you. We’re parents and siblings and sons and daughters. And for years we’ve struggled with the belief that we had to live poor to write. Or else we had to trudge through a 9-5 job to write at the fringes of our days. No more. We’re reclaiming our time and we want you to come with us.

Writing is a serious profession and a passionate calling. We’re bringing the business side of writing to the forefront. You have skill and talent and grit. Now you just need the knowledge to mobilize your craft to help build an income.

We don’t have this all figured out yet. We’re a few steps ahead of where you are right now. And that’s great for you. We know what it’s like to try to build a following and to send a tweet with no interactions and to try only to fail at something. But now you’re with us. So we can be there to reach out a hand and pick you up, dust you off, and help you continue on your path. That’s what our community is about.

We’re assembling as much information as we can about the various businesses associated with writing. There are countless websites out there about how to write. That’s not where our focus is. You know how to write. We’re here to help you use what you know and what you’ve learned to build an income.

3. Why We’re Doing It

Writers deserve a community of people who want to write for a living. I’m not talking to the Stephen King’s and Nora Roberts’ of the world. I’m talking to the people who want to build what those writers have: a following, an income, a life where we get to write whenever we want.
